I grew up in Golden, CO and began running in high school. I have used running to enjoy the mountains and have been running ever since. Currently, I’m studying chemistry at Western Colorado University and am planning to graduate school in May 2020 and attend graduate school. During my time at Western, I’ve been a part of the Mountain Sports Trail Running team and Ski Mountaineering team.

Up Close, and Personal…

To me, sport is…

A game that must be played.

On a typical training day,

I do: I normally run about an hour day with about an hour of weight lifting and often some skiing during the winter months. Mostly, I spend my time studying and doing research in the labs on campus. Most importantly, I spend my free time recovering to prepare for the next day of training.

I eat: I eat a balanced diet of carbs, protein, and fats.

I wear: At least socks …

I listen to: Hopsin, Griz, and Dirty Heads

I recover by: By going sledding and napping between runs.

I cross-train by: Skiing mountaineering, hiking in the mountains, and sledding.

My idea of an effective weight training session is…

a lot of reps and low weight.

The moment when I discovered my athletic potential was…

crested butte ultra 105k.

The three biggest lessons I have learnt so far in my athletic career are…

don’t take running to seriously, have fun, and be consistent.

Before a big race, I tell myself…

to relax and have fun.

My idea of an effective weight training session…

is an hour run with some weights at the end.

The toughest race of my life was…

Zion 100k in 2017 because it was my first 100k then I came back to win the race that next year.

The most memorable moment of my sporting career so far…

was joining the mountain sports trail running team at Western.

My training sanctuary is…

is the mountains!

My dream starting line is…

UTMB one day but not soon.

I nourish my soul with adventuring…

in the mountains.

Unived helps me by…

having a nutrition plan that works.

I have chosen to associate with Unived because…

they base their products off research and science that works.

In 2020, I am setting my sights on…

Red Hot 55k – (02/15/2020)
Pikes Peak Marathon – (08/23/2020)
More races TBD

My favourite Unived product is…

the Elite Drink Mix the very cranberry flavor.
